There is no dress code for the Golden Gate Theatre. Most attendees dress as if going to a nice resraurant. There are no cameras or recording devices allowed. There is no smoking.
Children
No children under eight are admitted to the theatre. There are no babes in arms permitted. Everyone attending must have a ticket.
ADA (Disability)
The accessible seats are in the Orchestra section, as there are no elevators at the Golden Gate. The seats are sold at the lowest price for each performance. A companion may purchase a ticket at the same price. The Golden Gate offers Sennheiser Infra-Red headsets for the hearing impaired. They are available in the lobby before the performance and may not be reserved in advance. There is a limited number available. Parking
The closest parking is on the corner of Turk and Taylor or Golden Gate and Jones . Limited street parking is available. Be careful of any signs indicating illegal parking as many spaces are for truck unloading only. The theatre recommends parking in attended lots as some blocks around the area have a high incidence of auto break-ins. Meters run Monday - Saturday until 6:00 PM . Also, many public and private lots are in the area, such as: * Carpark: Enter at the yellow signs to the right on Golden Gate Ave. just past Jones. * Indoor Lot: On Golden Gate to the left just past Jones. * Outdoor Lot: On the right on Taylor at Turk. * Indoor and Outdoor Lots: At the corner of Turk and Jones.
